Mossley's new look academy team deservedly earned their first victory of ther season wghen beating Radcliffe Borough 3-1 at Seel Park on Wednesday afternoon.

The Lilywhites youngsters were on the front foot from the start with Taye Rashford and Andre Graham promninent on the wings.

After several close calls, a dominant Mossley finally took the lead on 20 minutes with a cool finish by Taye Rashford.

Despite their dominance the score remained 1-0 at half time. However, after a rake of half time substitutions, Radcliffe fought back after the break and craeted a couple of chances of their own but Mossley keeper Rhys Downend was equal to the task and made a couple of fine saves to maintain the lead.

The Lilywhites doubled their advantage on 53 minutes through skipper Curtis Norris, but the visitors weren't finished and they halved the arrears on 75 minutes when Anthony Yorke scored from a suspiciously off-side position to give the visitors some hope.

Again Downend came to the rescue with a fine double save to deny the Radcliffe forwards before Norris netted Mossley's third and result clinching goal from a rebound five minutes from time after Boro keeper Jack Wall had blocked Haider Allah Hoo's goalbound effort.
